Jessica Hinds is a screenwriter, playwright, poet, lyricist, yogi, meditative shaman and writing coach from Contra Costa County California. She wrote the award winning short “Stranger at Home” and has been a finalist in over a dozen major competitions and festivals including the O’Neill Conference and The Heidman Award. She received her MFA in Dramatic Writing from the New School for Drama.
As a writing coach & story editor Jessica has mentored thousands of writers including Sundance Award Winning Filmmakers, Tony Award Winners, Best Selling Authors, Professional Musicians, TV Showrunners, Published Poets and Emerging Artists in the fields of screenwriting, playwriting, novel writing, TV writing, memoir writing, poetry, photography, journalism and music.
Jessica recently finished a Feature Film for Media World in South Africa and a reading of her play WHAT DIES INSIDE US WHILE WE LIVE at The Claque. She is currently a member of The Amoralists Write Club, a Writing Fellow for The Dennis & Victoria Ross Foundation and Co-founder and Teacher at the Jacob Krueger Studio.
